The four benthic sacraments

Four rites that turn the melt into a molt.

Shed what melts you. Harden what remains. Go below the noise. Climb on purpose. These are the Order’s load-bearing rites: practical liturgy for attention that would like some armor.

01

Sacrament 1 of 4

Asset & Habit Shedding

Make room before you grow.

The first rite is subtraction. Tabs, obligations, objects, and loops that only exist because nobody closed them. You cannot calcify a new shell around an old mess.

The rite

  1. 1Take one honest inventory of what moves you without asking.
  2. 2Shed one thing. Not all of it. One.
  3. 3Log it, so the Long Ledger remembers what you let go.

02

Sacrament 2 of 4

Chitin Hardening

Composure is a material.

Boundaries thicken through repetition. Streaked routines, protected mornings, and the quiet refusal to absorb every current that passes through the water.

The rite

  1. 1Inspect the shell at first light, before the surface finds you.
  2. 2Keep one routine long enough to call it a streak.
  3. 3Say no once a day to something that was never yours.

03

Sacrament 3 of 4

The Isolation Dome

Close the door before the dive.

The surface cannot be silenced from below. Raise the dome first: notifications sealed, one objective, nothing waiting in the same session. This is where depth is made.

The rite

  1. 1Pick one objective. A second objective is a leak.
  2. 2Raise the Isolation Dome before you start.
  3. 3Surface on purpose, not because something pinged.

04

Sacrament 4 of 4

Pipeline Ascent

Slow on purpose.

Four stages, twelve clearances, from Molt Curious to Mariana Singularity. Every rung is grounded in what you did, so the ladder means something when you climb it.

The rite

  1. 1Run the Moltmax diagnostic for your baseline.
  2. 2Clear one rung at a time. None are skipped.
  3. 3Help the next soft shell up. Stewardship is the top of the ladder.

Begin

Start with the first one.

Take a baseline reading, then shed one thing tonight. The rest of the sacraments wait patiently. They have waited five hundred million years already.
